This is a list of cocktails that Dave has liked or found interesting. They are in no order, except perhaps roughly the order of having tried them. They are sourced from various places including the 'net (of course), bartenders, etc. Sometimes there are different recipes that go under the same name, so the one included is the one tried. Anyway, on with the show.
1 Measure Rum Cream Liqueur
1 Measure Coffee Liqueur
1 Measure Milk
1/2 Measure Strawberry Syrup
1/2 Banana
1 Cup Crushed Ice
Throw everything in the blender and blend well until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
Drink served in Jamaica, perfect for drinking while sitting by the caribbean.
If you don't have Rum Cream Liqueur, Bailey's works almost as well.
1 Measure Vodka
1 Measure Coffee Liqueur
Cola to taste
Mix everything in a tall glass with ice.
1 Measure Blue Curacao
1.5 Measures Melon liqueur
1 Measure Squeezed Lemon Juice
3.5 Measures Oranje Juice
1 Measure Pineapple Juice
Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.
1 Measure Tequila
1 Measure Triple Sec
1 Measure Rum
1 Measure Gin
1.5 Measure Lemon Juice
1 Splash Coke
Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into shaker and give ONE brisk shake. Pour back into glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.
The original and favourite cocktail ;). Great stuff.
1 part Vodka
2 drops Tabasco
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
Pepper
Tomato Juice
In a glass with ice pour all the ingredients and fill with Tomato Juice.
1 part White Rum
1 part Malibu
1 part Blue Curacao
Fill with Pineapple Juice
Mix all the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker, shake and strain over ice into a tall glass.
1 part White Rum
1.5 parts Triple Sec
Dash of Grenadine
Fill with 1/3 Orange Juice and 2/3 Pineapple Juice
Float of Myers's Jamaican Rum
Build in a large glass over ice in the order given above.
This isn't really a Mai Tai, since the original requires things like Orgeat syrup and Rock Candy syrup (whatever that is). The above is a tasty substitute.
2 parts Tequila
Fill with Orange Juice
1 dash Grenadine
Pour tequila and orange juice into a glass over ice. Gently pour in the grenadine to create a sunrise-like effect.
1 parts Absolut Kurant Vodka
1 parts Melon Liqueur (Midori)
Fill with Pineapple Juice
Pour equal but generous parts of Vodka and Midori into a glass over ice and fill with Pineapple Juice.
This is adapted from a recipe given on the Absolut Vodka web site, but that recipe defines a ratio of 3/3/10 for vodka/midori/pineapple juice and also instructs to fill with soda water. I prefer my version. :)
